Plants growing in my yard bring me peace. It seems to me they are like extended family surrounding with love and familiarity. Whenever we go to see them, they are posed for great visits.
We take time from our ordinary schedules to be with them, and they fill our eyes and hearts with offerings—grace, strength, whimsy, beauty, and entangled roots that reach out to us.
Occasionally, one new life shoots up or a constant presence leaves for the next home place.
